The story: I posted a photo of a spider spinning its web a few days ago. Yesterday the doorbell rang and it was our exterminator explaining that he had sprayed our entire yard for insects. It hit me--MY spider? Would she still be alive? I ran outside and there she was, web gone, clinging to a leaf, web matted around her head. I carefully picked her up and moved her away to a rocky area where the exterminator would not have sprayed. Did I save her? I don't know. But I took her photo one last time, this one from the topside. :) Thanks to Marcia for the ID of orb weaver!
