Taken 10-14-07 at River road just before Orange Grove. I spent a good amount of time talking to this homeless man. I stopped to talk with him as I wanted to understand how he became homeless. I not once was asked for money, never felt threatend, but had a hard time understanding him as most of his teeth were missing. I asked for his name and he said he goes by Edwon now, yes he spelled it. I asked if it was ok to take his picture and he said sure and was proud and tried to pose. I asked if it was ok to post his picture here and he said yes, but tell people I don't want to be homeless. I said ok I'd relay the message. He didn't have alcohol nor didn't smell of it. I gave him 10.00 and asked him to find a place to eat. I went back to the car where my 14 year old son was waiting. I said adam what a sad story. I told him about the man and the only thing he said was 'we're the rishest country in the world and yet we have homeless people'. He asked if I gave the man money for food and said yes 10.00 we didn't have, my son replyed, I'll eat noodle this week so that man can at least have one good meal.
