ARIZONA DAILY STAR FILE PHOTO 1977 The Mount Lemmon Women's Club held its "Sweeten the Lemmon, Save Sabino Canyon" dinner on Nov. 13, 1977. The club prepared food and sold T-shirts to raise money for the proposed Mount Lemmon sewage and sanitation system. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency found that the old sewage system was inadequate and polluted Sabino Creek.
