I will try to explain for you a little about this candles. In Sweden we light the first candle of 4 the first Sunday in December, the second candle on the second Sunday and so on until we light the 4 candle the 4 Sunday in December - It´s a waiting for Christmas Eve, the birth of Jesus. We like to light candles because here in Sweden it´s dark early in the evenings now and the time before Christmas we wait and prepare for the Christmas Eve. We drink coffee and eat the special safferonbuns and the gingerbreads cookies. I´m sorry I have a little difficulties to find the right words but feel free to ask me if it is something you want to know about our traditions here in Sweden.
