My mom can be remarkably lucid given her age, but sometimes she searches so desperately for a memory. This image is a digital double exposure. I don't want this to be viewed as a "dark" image of my mom or the human condition. It's just a part of her life and she finds it so disorienting when it strikes. I thank my brothers and sisters back home who take such good care of her.
