Farewell to "the little red ship", as she was affectionately known. We were saddened to learn that the MS Explorer sank the 23rd of November of this year in the Antarctic Ocean. We have fond memories of being on board and exploring the "7th" continent and learning a great deal about the Antarctic ecosystem. I took this photo of her and this gentoo penguin just a few years ago. Leaving the 2007 tag for reasons mentioned recently by submitting photographers.
