On Thursday Jan. 17, a representative from Golden Eagle Distributors Inc. of Tucson gave three checks of $500 each to Ajo organizations.
They were given for thanks and support of the organization's commitment to clean up various sections of Highway 85.
The organizations were the Ajo Knights of Columbus, Ajo Garden Club and the Ajo Lions. These organizations pledged to continue the cleanup effort next year.
