April 17th inn the Rincon district of Saguaro Nat'l Park. The ripples seemed rather different. Anyone know what causses this?

Sally, I doubt anyone knows the causes of saguaros with various strange growth patterns. It's probably something genetic. Other plants have anomolies as well, but when it happens to a saguaro it gets our attention.
