This is a very rare crested desert barrel cactus. Cristation is the most extreme form of mutation and instead of growing from a central point the plant grows along a ridge with some parts producing normal growth. The objects around this plant are stakes and netting to protect this plant which I found at Tohono Chul Park in Tucson, Arizona.
