There is nothing like a costume ball to bring out local royalty, outlaws, lawmen and dreamers. Such was the case on May 13, 1978, at the Tucson Opera Dames Don Juan Masked Ball. A bevy of make-believers showed up at the Brady Castle, in the Tucson Mountains, for a festive night of entertainment. The 220 guests who attended the fundraiser were treated to an elegant lamb dinner and dancing to the music of the Webb Brothers orchestra. The cast of "Don Giovanni" also entertained the crowd.
