This came up "volunteer" - apparently some bird seed found its way into a rock-covered terraced area of my back yard. I recognized the leaves when I first noticed it, so I told my family it didn't appear to be a weed, and to leave it alone. Started watering it with gray water from laundry, and fed it a couple of times, and this was my reward. Taken late April.
