Chiricahua National Momument is located approximately 36 miles southeast of Willcox, Arizona. The Chiricahua Apache called the pinnacles you see here “standing up rocks”. Their origins began 27 million years ago when a volcano spewed ash over 1,200 square miles. There is an eight mile scenic drive to Massai Point rising to an elevation of 6,879 feet which provides a 360 degree secenic view of the surrounding mountain peaks. It is well worth the trip!
