Former clown Jean LeRoy loved the circus. Even after he retired from life on the road, he continued to live in a circus world, a circus world that he created. LeRoy was a master carver and had been carving since his childhood. His 4-inch figures often represented actual individuals or settings from his past and required from two hours to a full day to complete. On June 2, 1978, he was working on the diorama in his newly opened miniature museum in Trail Dust Town.
