DRIVE THRU TRIVIA
The worlds first McDonald's drive-thru window opened on Jan. 24, 1975 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. The original drive-thru was built because the commander at the Fort Huachuca Military Base did not want GIs to be seen in public wearing fatigues.
The McDonald's owner got around this by creating the first drive-thru window so the GIs wouldn't violate the fort commander's orders.

Interesting! I think nowadays they show up in fatigues at the 'art in the park show'?
