Don't know why so many in Tucson are banded. This one landed in our tree despite me working on the roof - didn't think I'd be able to get down and up w/the camera, but got a couple off before it left. You can see from the business end that it had already sat at the dinner table.

The U of A has had a Cooper's Hawk banding project for many years. A large percentage of the local adults are banded.

Nice Shot...most of the Coop's I've seen in rural Tucson have been banded.
