A light rain was falling when Shirley MacLaine, Dean Martin, Burt Reynolds and Sammy Davis Jr. sought shelter under a tent on July 22, 1983. The quartet of Hollywood stars was in Tucson to film "Cannonball Run II," which on that day was filming on East Sunrise Drive about one mile east of North Craycroft Road. The movie, directed by Hal Needham, was shot using several locations in Tucson, including Old Tucson and the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind. DEBRA REINGOLD / ARIZONA DAILY STAR 1983
