Several thousand people were turned away at the gate on July 23, 1993. Hundreds more had no seats, but they were allowed to sit or stand on the warning track. The occasion was the Tucson Toros Turn Back the Clock Night at Hi Corbett Field. Dressed in a uniform honoring the 1932 Tucson Lizards, Toro Scooter Tucker signed an autograph for Stacy Gingerich. The $1 admission price included the game, a barbershop chorus and a sock hop after the game. Attendance that night was 10,801. The Toros lost to Calgary 4-2.
