ART GRASBERGER / ARIZONA DAILY STAR 1978
It was a private audience of 350 people that was entertained by the multitalented Sammy Davis Jr. on Sept. 28, 1978. His performance, which the Star reviewer said "captivated" the crowd, was at the Doubletree Hotel for Panasonic. In a show that lasted moe than an hour, Davis did impersonations, showed off his soft-shoe and went through some shtick. But, the highlight of Davis' performance was "his moving version of 'Mr. Bojangles' that stunned the audience."
