For years, while David Chavez worked in the clubhouse and as the equipment manager for the Tucson Toros, he probably never dreamed that someday he would be traveling around the world and hobnobbing with baseball greats such as Yogi Berra and Duke Snider. But as the director of corporate and player relations for Major League Alumni Marketing Inc., Chavez, who graduated from Rincon High School and the University of Arizona, did just that, organizing various charity and promotional functions. On Aug. 25, 1994, Chavez was in Tucson chatting with one of his clients, former Los Angeles Dodger Maury Wills.
