Had a new visitor to the yard today. Female red-naped sapsucker? Not completely sure. Hard as the dickens to get a good shot into the mesquite tree.

Well, I'm not completely sure but with that white belly, and lack of "bars" across the back, I think you can rule-out the female rns. This is a tough one!
