On May 16, 1987, painters applied the finishing touches to a gigantic poster covering one side of the Lawyers Title building at Stone Avenue and Alameda Street. The mural celebrated the 1987 Tucson Summer Arts Festival. The festival, which was in its fourth year, was held from May 15 through Aug. 19. It included theater, dance, visual arts, astronomy and lectures and was held at a variety of locations around town.
