Perhaps as photographers we are all a bit vain in that we want the rest of the world to see through our eyes...if only for the second that the shutter clicks. In the capture of a moment, we allow the viewer to see a little bit of ourselves. There is a time when our passion for photography becomes more than a passive interest. My photography began when I began the same year as my divorce (2003). After years of silence, sorrow and abuse it has become my voice and at times my sanity. While I love color...I am fascinated by the interplay of light and dark. I think of it as a ‘coming to the light’ and it signifies hope. It is something that I have needed a great deal of in my life. I would like to think that my work conveys feeling, emotion, power and beauty. In the beginning, photography was my way to see hope and splendor but as I grow I hope that I can convey other emotions as well. Thank you for stopping to see my world...

As a note, the Vulture is about half the size of a California Condor. Amazing birds. Will upload some photos when I get a chance.

Just returned from Grand Canyon. We saw some of these but the highlight was the California Condors. Curiously, they were roosting in the same tree as the Turkey Vultures. Guess it makes sense considering their symbiotic relationship.
